DOB: 7/4/98, 7/19/99, 1/8/01, 11/5/02 & 9/10/04 These five beautiful siblings came into care in May of 2007. They were both physically and mentally abused by their biological father and all express memories of their biological parents. Since coming into care, they have adapted well and have improvements in their health, academics, values and attitudes. They all have a strong Christian faith. The oldest is 10 ˝ years old. He is described as having a caring nature and is protective of his siblings. His learning ability has been hampered by his situation, but he is said to be improving. He is enjoying being able to be a kid and grow as an individual. The 2nd is 9 ˝ years old. He is playful, enjoys playing basketball and excels in school. He is said to be a leader of his peers, is responsible and very caring. The 3rd is 8 years old. She is described as sweet, caring and smart. She is "full of life" and enjoys swimming. She is confident and expresses what she thinks and feels well. She wants to be adopted and treated as someone special. The 4th is 6 years old. She is reported to be smart and has expressed her desire to have parents and live in the United States. She is said to be a talented dancer and gymnast. The youngest is 5 years old. He loves being the center of attention and receiving hugs. He is undergoing speech therapy and is said to be a slow eater. These siblings are all reportedly doing well in care and are in need of adoptive parents who have experience parenting past their age and knowledge of the long term impacts of abuse. To adopt this child, there must be no more than 47 years age difference between the younger parent and the child. Applicants must be married for at least 3 years. Up to 3 children in the home, 4 on a case-by-case basis. * See country criteria for complete requirements.


New Referrals from East Africa
Holt is pleased to announce the beginning of a pilot adoption program. We are recruiting a few families with pioneering spirits, who are experienced parents, and are flexible. Applicants should be open to older children and/or those with some special needs. Families should be prepared for some bumps in the process as we are starting this new program. If you are interested in the program or one of the specific children available, please contact one of our Africa staff to discuss the program first.
