This "well rounded" young man has been in care since May 1998. He has had surgery to correct a congenital heart defect, and is now doing well. In August 2006 he began attending a private school, where he also lives. He has excellent grades and often holds the top rank of his class. His teachers report that he is very intelligent and has an excellent memory. He enjoys reading a wide variety of books for pleasure. He also enjoys telling jokes and performing magic tricks for his friends. He would like to be a computer teacher when he grows up. This special young man is in need of a family who has experience parenting past his age and can provide him with any medical care he may need.

To adopt this child, applicants must be 30-54 years old and meet an income requirement of $30,000 plus $10,000 per additional family member, with $80,000 net worth. More than 4 children in the home may be accepted.* See country criteria for complete requirements.

Journey of Hope - New Referral Group from East Asia
The Waiting Child Program was pleased to receive a special referral group of children from East Asia recently. These children took part in a special camp and each has a detailed interview and short video included in their child material. Holt has been given 6 months to find homes for these children. All of the children have a reduction in their Holt fees. In honor of these children, Holt will be waiving the initial $50 application fee to receive waiting child information from September 1 through December 31, 2009. (please note that the full $300 application fee will be applied at a later date). Please contact either Jessica or Erin if you are interested in reviewing any of their files.
