Holt provides direct services (home study and/or postplacement services) to a family who is adopting through another agency for a domestic placement of a child.
Special Needs
Holt contracts the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to provide direct services Post Placement Home study for families who desire to adopt a child they are providing foster care for.
Non-Holt Overseas Agency to Agency
Holt provides direct services (home study and/or postplacement services) to a family who are adopting internationally and utilizing the services of another international agency to facilitate placement of a child. This will include the home study and, in most cases, postplacement services. An agency to agency fee will be charged to the family for working with another agency and providing services beyond the home study and postplacement depending upon the agency’s need.
(In these situations it is Holt’s policy not to provide services to families who are adopting from countries where Holt has a program)
