Our Europe Program staff has over 70 years of combined adoption experience working in Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
Natalya (Natasha) Goncharova, Europe Program Director, who originally hails from Russia, has assisted hundreds of children from Russia to find adoptive families in the United States. In 2004, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation awarded Natasha the “Badge of Mercy and Philanthropy”. Natasha is using her wealth of experience and knowledge to head up Holt’s child welfare programs in Eastern Europe.

Recently, Holt has been working closely with officials in Eastern European countries such as the Ukraine and Kazakhstan to assist in the development of child welfare services such as family preservation, foster care, sponsorship, domestic adoption, and international adoption.
