If We Had Only Known

Holt recently received a surprise bequest from the estate of a woman we never thanked. Of course, we appreciated the gift immensely. It revealed a gracious and generous person. And the gift will certainly help us accomplish our mission. The gift was a reflection of the kind of people we meet day after day, those who have a heart of compassion and love for children in need.

But we feel somewhat cheated because we never had the opportunity to express to her our gratitude for such kindness. We were unable to let her know how much her gift would mean. If we had only known, we could have properly said "thank you."

And so we encourage our friends to let us know when they include Holt in their estate plans. Not only can we express our appreciation, but we can make sure they are kept up-to-date with all the developments occurring here at Holt and in our work around the world.

The Holt Legacy Partners' program was established to recognize those who include Holt in their estate plans. No minimum is required, nor will the amount of the gift ever be publicly revealed. However, we do want to thank and recognize those who support children in this significant way. Our feeling is that a planned gift is the ultimate major gift for the children we love and serve.
