Learn more about the children….

Most children come into the adoption program through an unwed mothers program in Korea. The birth mothers receive a range of services tailored to their needs. They receive counseling about the decision to relinquish their child for international adoption, shelter, job training, as well as pre- and post-natal medical treatment. Korean birth mothers who choose to relinquish their child for adoption have clearly decided that adoption is the best choice for their baby and themselves.

All children live with specially trained foster families throughout Korea.

Holt needs adoptive families for…

Gender—Boys and Girls. More boys than girls are in need of homes. Families need to be open to either gender, with the exception of Korean adoptees and Korean Americans, who have the option to request a boy or a girl.

Ages— Children are young, many of them infants ranging from 10 months to 2 years. The average age of children when they come home is 10-12 months old.

Health—Children from Korea are typically in good health. There are children with minor and correctible medical conditions who are also in need of homes, as well as children in our Waiting Child program.
