I thought it would be neat to post your adoption video (if you have one!) or your story on this post for all to see. I know these videos helped immensely during the wait and hope it will inspire others to join in the miracle of adoption!

Hopefully it will help uplift some low spirits today too with all the EP delays...

The first song is bringing SeiJin home and the first year. There are two more songs with Disney World and other first year things after it, so you can skip the rest if you want!

Oh I have seen most of these and it has been good to watch them again! Gotcha videos never get old!!! Awesome job!

I am working on Elliana's video still. It is quite the undertaking, but I love doing things like this too. I honeslty have NO idea how most of you can fit all of it into just one song though! Ours is 3 songs at the moment and not yet done- LOL! Laughing Waaaaay too many pictures and video from Korea- which I cherish of course! But of course I want to put it all in!
My goal is to have it done by her dedication which is at the end of Nov. so I still have a few weeks left!!! Wink

Journey to Briar

Briar's 1st year

Hi Kelly,

I just had to tell you that early in the year when my husband and I started the adoption process I came across your blog. I must have watched your "Journey to Briar" video at least 20 times and sobbed like a baby every darn time. I even showed it to friends and family when they came over and I swear it made them that much more excited for us. I just had to to take this chance to tell you what an impact it had on me and thank you for sharing. Very Happy Very Happy

I do have pictures, but the only montages are of their homecomings, etc.

I'll give as short of version of our story as I can.

We had 2 biological sons, after we had signed up with an attorney to adopt. 13 years later we have never been selected and I assume we are not even in the pool anymore. Smile We talked about only having 2 or 3 kids. God has quite the sense of humor.

We decided we wanted another child and the boys were both born with birth defects among other reasons for not wanting to conceive again. We were allowed to choose gender and so in March 2002 we signed our preapplication to adopt a baby girl from Korea. We were HSTK by August 2002 and had her referral by January 2003. She was born in August 2002 and she came home in March 2003. By the time she was 2 we were discussing a 4th.

We eventually started the process in September 2005, the same month our 4th was born. We went into the WC program and asked for a girl since we could then room the girls together to fill up the house. By December 2005, we were HSTK and had our 2nd daughter's referral. She arrived home in March 2006. We felt done...financially, emotionally, etc.

In March 2009, we received a call to change our lives and turn them upside down. One of our sweet girls had a sweet biological brother already 6 months old in Korea. We brought him home just 2 1/2 months later in May 2009. He is amazing and wonderful and momma's sweet boy. The big brothers are now sleeping in the garage. (just kidding their room is part of our old garage.)

God has laughed with us and at us more than a few times, but we're trying to roll with it. So glad we have.

ETA: We now have 3 kids from 3 of the 4 Korean agencies. Mrs. Lee in her sense of humor commented that we now have to adopt from KSS to complete it. She thought it was quite funny!

Found these (though the girls' are really old...as in almost 4 years...WOW!):

My goal was to finish it by the end of the month. My goal now is to start it by the end of the month. Wink
Hopefully I'll finish by Christmas. Can't wait to sit down and watch more videos. I love what I've seen so far.

Our Journey to Grace

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpNzqDoelJY

Our Journey to Grace started in 2007! We initially looked into S Korea, but at that time they were just closing the program for new families and making adjustments. We then felt comfortable with China. So we waited... the wait for a baby referral kept getting longer and longer, and after one full year of hoping it would shorten only to see it continue to get longer, we prayerfully considered Korea. With in hours of praying about it, we knew without a doubt we were to switch countries. Korea it was! Jan of 08 we recieved our sweet angels referral. On April 16th, 2009 She was home with us forever! Our sweet blessing from God was finally in our arms forever. Grace has been home now for 6 months and we are hoping to finalize our adoption with in the next couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy our video.

I love watching everyone's videos!!! They surely helped me while we waited for Lauren.

Here is the link to ours. My 13 DS made it...so it is a bit long...he added credits and everything Wink

Lauren actually watched it today add "got it" that it was her on the video. She grabbed me and hugged me so tight. Smile
Thanks for posting this...I too haven't watched it in a while and it was priceless watching it with her today.
